I’m all for cornflakes, yogurt and honey as a breakfast option but I’m also for a spicy cornflakes mixture to accompany my evening chai.
This is an easily available snack found in most local grocery stores in India but it’s an even easier snack to make yourself.
I’m often reminded of my grandmum sitting by my side, with a look of disapproval on her face over my wasted groundnuts 😅 “ Tsk tsk dear, never waste. If you aren’t eating the groundnuts, give them to me.”
And that’s how we would share the snack.
It isn’t a fancy recipe but it sure is a favourite with an extremely fond memory. And I eventually stopped wasting those groundnuts. ❤️
– Mix an amount of cornflakes in red chilli powder & a pinch of turmeric powder.
– In a frying pan, dry roast a handful of peanuts, coconut shavings and curry leaves.
– Mix the dry roasted ingredients with the cornflakes and a pinch of salt.
* Remember, you can adjust the salt and chilli powder according to your preference.
And that’s it! What did I tell ya? EASY!
