Garlic & coconut Hummus with love šŸ’—

Hummus, an extremely yummy & healthy snack that I don’t mind indulging on.

Now the accompaniments are another story altogether šŸ˜„! You can go healthy with some vegetables sticks(carrots, cucumber, celery etc) or even the classic pita & roast chicken.

Just.so.good!

This is a dish that’s extra special to me as its something I learnt to make with the one I love and we’ve been making it since šŸ’—

This recipe started out with the aim to make a regular hummus but we realised we didn’t have garlic.

And thus began the forage for the alternatives. We eventually settled for a packet of roasted garlic, coconut & chilli that we had in the cabinet.

It’s always fun to improvise and it’s a bigger bonus if the dish turns out great!

Recipe:

ā€¢ Blend 1 cup of chickpeas with 2 tbsps of tahini, juice of half a lime, a tbsp of roasted garlic & coconut.

ā€¢ Make sure to add small amounts of olive oil while blending the mixture.

ā€¢ If the mixture is too clumpy, add small amounts of water as well. Blend until the mixture is smooth.

Serve with carrots, olives, pita bread and cold cuts šŸ’—
